Ms. Dzung Chung Tran
APIA Founder and Advisor


Dzung is a native of South Vietnam.  She came to the United States in 1975 as a political refugee.  Dzung has an A.A. degree in Business Accounting and a B.S. in Math & Science.  Dzung is fluent in Vietnamese and French and also speaks some Spanish.  Dzung has worked for the community college system for over 18 years.  Currently, she is the Manager of Business Services at South Mountain Community College.

Dzung is a very active member of APIA.  She was one of the co-founders of APIA and served two terms as APIA President from 1997-1999.  She also currently serves as APIA Treasurer since 1999 in addition to being the chairperson for APIA's Scholarship Committee.

Dzung is actively involved in the Vietnamese community.  She successfully co-chaired the annual "Miss Vietnamese Pageant Contests for 2000 and 2002".  Dzung enjoys traveling around the world and performing community volunteer services.

In her free time, Dzung relaxes by listening to classical music, attending ballet, and cooking gourmet food.
