HR: Adjunct Faculty

Adjunct Faculty Applicant:
Thank you for your interest in teaching part-time with the Maricopa Community College District. Each college hires its own adjuncts. Applications may be obtained and submitted in various ways:

Transcripts: Official transcripts are not necessary during the application process, but will be required at the time of employment. In lieu of transcripts, all adjunct faculty are required to complete the Course Completion Form (rtf) and submit the form along with each application.

Transcripts from non U.S. institutions must be translated/evaluated (click here for instructions).

Salary: The rate of pay for Adjunct Faculty for the 2008-2009 Academic Year is $804.00 per load hour. In general, though not always, the load hours of a course are the same as the credit hours of the course. The maximum teaching load for Adjunct Faculty is nine (9.0) load hours per semester. This is a district wide limit (i.e., if you are teaching six load hours at one college, you may only teach three more at another college for a total of nine in the District).

Employment checks:  MCCCD is required by Arizona law to participate in the Department of Homeland Security E-Verify program.  All new employees will be checked to see if they are eligible to work in the U.S.

Please Note: MCCCD does not sponsor individuals for any type of work visas.
