Military Leave for Military Training

Arizona Revised Statutes provide for the release of employees who are members of the Arizona National Guard or Reserve Units to attend periods of military training without jeopardizing their positions of employment.

National Guard or Reserve Training will be paid up to thirty (30) working days in a two (2) year period. One (1) copy of the employee's military orders must be presented to the Compensation Department to ensure continuation of salary while on leave.

The training period will not be deducted from the vacation period with pay to which an employee is otherwise entitled and will be considered as a period of work performance in determining eligibility for vacation accrual.
