Step 1: Ask yourself if you are conducting human subjects research.

If you answered yes, you are probably doing Human Subjects Research. You can learn more about the guidelines for Human Subjects Research by completing relevant training.
Step 2: Complete Training on Human Subjects Research.
If you are Maricopa Employee or Maricopa student: Enroll in the online training at http://www.citiprogram.org under the Maricopa Community Colleges affiliation. (There is no charge to Maricopans.)
If you are Not a Maricopan:
Step 3: Complete the Application Form for Human Subjects Research Projects. (See Application Form.)
If you have questions or need assistance, please check the "Need Help/Resources" section on the website for individuals you can contact. Step 4: Email and mail your application and certificate of training to the Office(s) indicated. (See Application Process for instructions.)
