Sexual
Harassment On-Line Tutorial
Welcome
to the Legal Services Department's
Sexual Harassment On-Line Tutorial.
This tutorial is a learning tool designed to assist you in
understanding the law of sexual harassment.
Sexual
harassment is a form of unlawful sex discrimination. Like other forms
of illegal discrimination, sexual harassment against either employees
or students is prohibited under policy of the Maricopa Community Colleges
Governing Board. The Maricopa Community Colleges vigorously enforces that
policy.
Studies show that many people who commit acts of sexual harassment on
the job or on campus do not mean to harass or discriminate. We hope that,
by the time you have completed the Tutorial, you not only know why sexual
harassment is unlawful, but also can better appreciate the types of conduct
that, under the law, are sexual harassment.
To reinforce what you learn, it might be a good idea to visit the department
publications Sexual Harassment at Work
and Sexual Harassment On Campus after
you are finished with the Tutorial.
