Step 1 - access class search
Step 2 - course, subject, class type, and semester
If you have a particular course or type of course in mind, enter that information in the first box.
Select a subject if you wish, or leave it open to explore all of your options.
Searching for open classes will show you courses that you can enroll in for upcoming semesters and leave out any that have already come and gone, and the same is true for selecting the upcoming semester.
Step 3- college of choice
Select your college of choice if you wish, or leave this section blank to see all of our options.
Step 4 - select credit options
Courses are available with Open Educational Resources for Credit as well as Non-Credit. Select whichever option fits your goal.
Step 5- schedule and delivery
If you are trying to fill a particular time-slot, select one accordingly.
These courses are available as Hybrid, In Person, and Internet courses, select your preference.
Step 6 - date, instructor, and low or no-cost
If you know when you can start, enter a preferred start date.
If you have a preferred instructor, you may enter their name to see if they teach OER courses or courses with OER Resources, be aware though they may not offer them at this time.
This next part is the key! Select No cost or low cost (<$40) textbooks. This is the option that will sort through all of the classes and find OER courses specifically.
Step 7 - general education and search
Optional: If you want to search for specific general education designations, select one or more.
