Working With the Communities We Serve

Community Engagement at Maricopa Community Colleges is charged with promoting positive relationships between our organization and community groups, civic organizations, nonprofits, and municipalities. Furthermore, we believe in offering students opportunities to learn and grow beyond the classroom.

Community Advisory Committees

As part of our commitment to inclusiveness, engagement, and respect, the Chancellor and district leadership meets regularly with a number of community advisory committees. Members of these committees are appointed by the Chancellor and serve to provide insight and perspective into the interests they represent.

Through these partnerships, we are better positioned to meet the educational and workforce needs of the communities we serve.

  • African American Community Advisory Committee
  • Asian Pacific Islander Community Advisory Committee
  • Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender (GLBT) Community Advisory Committee
