Center for Excellence in Inclusive Democracy (CEID)
The Center for Excellence in Inclusive Democracy (CEID) at Maricopa Community Colleges is committed to fostering meaningful relationships between our organization and the communities we serve by advancing democracy and civic engagement, shared governance, academic freedom, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Civic engagement is central to our mission, and through partnerships with community organizations, nonprofits, and civic groups, we ensure our programs empower students to grow beyond the classroom. By promoting these values, CEID strengthens our organizational culture and enhances our impact on students and the communities we serve.
Community Advisory Committees
Our commitment to inclusiveness, engagement, and respect is reflected in the work of our Community Advisory Committees, appointed by the Chancellor to provide valuable insights that guide District leadership. These partnerships ensure Maricopa Community Colleges remains responsive to the educational and workforce needs of our communities, serving as a vital conduit of information. Through community-driven counsel, we proactively identify and address key issues, creating pathways for success for all.
Maricopa Affinity Resource Groups
As part of our commitment to inclusiveness, engagement, and respect, Maricopa Community Colleges has seven employee affinity resource groups that celebrate diversity, focus on building robust resources for employees and students, foster education on diversity and inclusion, and collaborate with community organizations to drive meaningful growth.
