Center for Entrepreneurial Innovation and CEI LabForce
Located in the Phoenix Bioscience Core, the Center for Entrepreneurial Innovation (CEI) and CEI LabForce were established by GateWay Community College and the Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) to play a critical role in the bioscience industry by providing incubator space for bioscience startups in the Phoenix area, acting as catalysts for innovators and entrepreneurs to help them launch and grow their businesses.
CEI provides a comprehensive suite of resources, including entrepreneurial support, educational programs, and workforce development initiatives. Their impact is evident:
- Supported over 80 startups
- Created over 900 jobs
- Secured $143 million in capital investments and grants
- Helped entrepreneurs generate more than $181 million in gross revenue
