New Protocols for COVID-19
On April 10, 2023, President Biden signed a bill ending the COVID-19 National Emergency. On May 11, 2023, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) rescinded the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency. The State of Arizona has pulled back most of its mandates and reporting protocols have been discontinued.
Based on these actions, Maricopa County Community Colleges will no longer require online reporting of COVID-like symptoms or positive diagnoses.
A Community of Caring
We depend on each other to sustain a healthy campus and workplace. As a member of the Maricopa Community Colleges, your safety and well-being are our top priorities. While our campuses have returned to normal operation, we recognize that implementing best practices will promote a healthy environment, moving forward.
To this end, we hope that employees and students will continue to responsibly follow the CDC’s guidelines:
- Stay at home when sick
- Return to normal activities when your symptoms have been consistently improving for at least 24 hours
