With 48 start dates to choose from every year, Rio Salado's online Post Baccalaureate program can start you on the path to a teaching certificate when it's convenient for you.
The program is designed for individuals who have at least a bachelor's degree, in any area, from an accredited university and who would like to become a teacher. Typically, this program takes two years and provides training within your chosen teaching area, including teaching methodology and the opportunity for classroom teaching experience.
Once accepted into the program, you will be eligible to apply for Arizona Teachers Academy financial support, which means your tuition and fees are covered in exchange for your agreement to teach in Arizona after graduation.
The program offers certification in the following three teaching areas:
- Elementary Education (Grades K–8)
- Secondary Education (Grades 6–12)
- Special Education (Grades K–12)
