This program is being offered at Phoenix College and Rio Salado College, but up to 90 credits may be taken at any of the Maricopa Community Colleges.

Field of Interest Advisors
- This 120-credit hour program offers two focus areas—Emergency Management or Criminal Justice—and includes a capstone project and opportunities for hands-on, work-based experiences.
- Core courses within the selected specialization are followed by administration courses designed to analyze the legal, political, and social factors related to public safety, and provide an overview of topics, such as organizational theory, public policy, resource management, leadership, and ethics.
- General education courses for this program explore broad foundational knowledge and essential skills to prepare students to contribute to society through personal, social, and professional interactions with others.
- Program faculty are dedicated scholars and practitioners with real-world experience in law enforcement, detention and corrections, probation, fire service, emergency medical services, and attorneys.
