Cross Functional Design and Web Essentials
The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Cross Functional Design and Web Essentials provides students with focused application in the intersections of graphic design, web design, and social media. It synthesizes the theory and practice of designing websites and advertising collateral following a marketing strategy using HTML, CSS, design principles, appropriate color, and art.

Students must earn a grade of C or better in all courses within the program.
This pathway map will help you gain the expertise needed to:
- Describe website technology and current interface theory (UI, UX).
- Analyze the different terminology for creative production as it relates to cross functional design and web essentials.
- Apply best practices using business applications (word processing, database, spreadsheet, and presentation software) to the cross functional design and web essential spaces.
- Explore system security, privacy, and ethical challenges in cross functional design and web essential spaces.
- Apply best practices in web accessibility.
- Design advertisements and campaigns across digital, mobile and social channels, including video.
- Produce graphics for web publications and social media channels, using type and design elements in a marketing strategy for diverse audiences.
- Design and produce a multi-page web site utilizing HTML, CSS code validators, appropriate design, color, and art.
