Kubernetes Application Development
The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Kubernetes Application Development is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to define application resources and use core primitives to build, monitor and troubleshoot scalable applications and tools in Kubernetes. This program helps prepare students for the Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKAD) certification exam. Industry professionals in the field of application development will enhance their skill set by adding this specialization.

This program is not eligible for Title IV Federal Financial Aid.
Students must earn a grade of C or better in all courses within the program.

- Implement common deployment strategies in Kubernetes cluster.
- Maintain Kubernetes applications using monitoring tools.
- Configure the application environment and security.
- Configure Kubernetes cluster network services.

Course Sequence by Term

- Initial course placement is determined by current district placement measures and/or completion of 100-200 level course and/or program requirements.
- Degree and transfer seeking students may be required to successfully complete a MCCCD First Year Experience Course (FYE) within the first two semesters at a MCCCD College. Courses include FYE101 and FYE103. Course offerings will vary by college. See an academic, program, or faculty advisor for details.
