This 300-hour program prepares students for a career in cardiac monitoring and telemetry as an ECG technician or ECG technologist. You will be introduced to keyboarding, electronic patient records and record keeping, patient assessment, basic medical terminology, anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system, the cardiac conduction system, and 12-lead ECG acquisition and rhythm interpretation, as well as holter monitoring, telemetry monitoring, stress testing, and artificial pacemaker evaluations.
