  • Compare and contrast the characteristics and styles of the music throughout history including the Middle Ages, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and/or Contemporary periods.
  • Differentiate among various piano performance practices and teaching techniques appropriate for teaching intermediate and early advanced piano students.
  • Demonstrate musical and piano accompanying skills by using various chords and by adapting scores to fit musical interpretation.
  • Collaborate with other musicians in performing chamber ensemble music literature.
  • Demonstrate techniques for the applicable intermediate or advanced level of private piano instruction emphasizing musicianship, literature, and performance.
  • Research piano pedagogy resources on a topic of special interest.
