The Maricopa Community Colleges Begin Search for New Mesa Community College President

The Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) recently announced that Interim Chancellor Steven R Gonzales began a nationwide presidential search process to find the next President for Mesa Community College (MCC). 

To assist in the recruitment, the District has hired search consultants who will help identify and recruit talented candidates for the position as part of the search process. The search committee, representative of the Mesa community, has been charged with identifying and recommending highly qualified candidates as finalists for the position. To encourage a strong pool of applicants, the identities of candidates will remain confidential throughout the process. Once the Presidential Search Committee has identified the finalists, community members will be invited to the public forums in April 2022 to meet the finalists and provide feedback about the candidates.  

"In search for the next President of Mesa Community College, we seek an experienced leader who will build upon the College's past successes and will develop future educational opportunities," said MCCCD Interim Chancellor, Dr. Steven R. Gonzales. I look forward to this presidential search and finding the best fit to guide MCC and their commitment to bettering the student experience and the success of our community."

MCCCD Interim Chancellor Dr. Steven R. Gonzales and the Presidential Search Committee invite nominations and expressions of interest for the position. Applications received by Monday, Feb. 7, 2022, can be assured best consideration. 

MCCCD seeks a president to build upon Mesa Community College's academic programs to align with the current needs of higher education's changing landscape and further the College's dedication to student success, growing student enrollment, and continuing the District’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. 

The position is open until filled, but applications should be received by Monday, Feb. 7, 2022, for full consideration.
