This proposed increase is exclusive of increased primary property taxes received from new construction. The increase is also exclusive of any changes that may occur from property tax levies for voter-approved bonded indebtedness or budget and tax overrides.
A comparison of the effects of the calculated Truth in Taxation rate ($1.0491) to the proposed tax rate ($1.0791) reveals that the primary property taxes levied by the Maricopa County Community College District on a $100,000 home will rise from $104.91 to $107.91 -- $3.00 per year, or 2.86%.
