Welcome to the community resource page for Maricopa Community Colleges' LGBTQIA2S+ students, staff, and faculty. Our ten colleges and District are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where everyone can thrive! 

Here, you'll find a comprehensive collection of resources, services, and programs designed to support the diverse needs of our LGBTQIA2S+ community. Whether you're seeking opportunities to connect with others, medical care options, mental health support, advice, or something else, we aim to ensure everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.

In addition to our on-campus resources, we encourage you to take advantage of these community resources that offer a range of services, including healthcare, legal support, mental health therapy, advocacy, and more:

Qualified LGBTQ individuals and families can use the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). This monthly nutrition program provides funds to purchase healthy food from local grocery stores, farmers' markets, or online.

The Equality Maricopa PRISM Scholarship Fund is available through the Maricopa Foundation scholarship portal. Preference is given to LGBTQIA+ students.

Requirements:

  • Enrolled at a Maricopa Community College
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA or GED seeking, 
  • Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours
  • Demonstrate financial need

Students must describe their activities in the LGBTQIA+ community and share any barriers they may have encountered and how this scholarship may help them achieve their educational goals. 

The estimated amount of this award varies. Awards vary per semester.
