About

Temya Jackson Long, also known as T, is a current student attending GateWay and majoring in Biomedical Engineering. She works closely in GateWay’s Student Life and Leadership as student-at-large as well as Unity Initiative collaborating with Phoenix College. Temya is one of GateWay’s two Student Ambassadors who work to make creative, trendy, and informative videos and social media posts to reach the student population and community. She is also a part of PTK (Phi Theta Kappa) and the planning committee for the Intercollegiate Student Leadership Retreat this upcoming fall semester. One fun fact about her is that she will be studying abroad in Japan this summer through Mesa Community College. Throughout her time attending college, Temya holds the goal of showing students like her that they can reach new horizons and grow outside of their expectations. She also values the student voice and perspective throughout the colleges and works to make impactful changes for the better of her generation.
