Associate Vice Chancellor of the Center for Excellence in Inclusive Democracy
Deanna Villanueva-Saucedo is the Associate Vice Chancellor of the Center for Excellence in Inclusive Democracy at Maricopa Community Colleges. A native Arizonan, Deanna graduated with a BA in psychology and Masters in Public Administration from Arizona State University.
Prior to working in education, Deanna was employed by the City of Mesa as a neighborhood outreach coordinator working with neighborhood groups in central Mesa. She began her career at downtown Mesa church coordinating youth programs and Hispanic ministry.
She is currently a Fellow with Campus Compact, facilitating a national community college network. Deanna serves on the board of directors for A New Leaf, Arizona Town Hall, East Valley Partnership, and the Mesa Association of Hispanic Citizens. She is a 2014 graduate of the Flinn-Brown Civic leadership academy, 2012 recipient of Valle del Sol Profiles of Success leadership award and remains an active member of her community. In her free time, Deanna enjoys spending time with her family and home menagerie of four dogs, two tortoises, backyard chickens, and one potbelly pig.
