Chief Operating Officer
Lee Ann Bohn assumed her current position as Chief Operating Officer in December 2023, where she reports to the Chancellor and closely partners with the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost. As COO, Lee Ann plays a central role on the leadership team, providing an energetic vision for increasing integration, efficiencies, and strategic partnerships while helping to steer administrative and operational functions.
Her areas of responsibility include business services, human resources, informational technology, police, and emergency management. Lee Ann is a Board Member of the Valley of the Sun United Way.
Lee Ann began her professional career in the New York State Division of the Budget before moving to Arizona in 2000. She spent her first 13 years with Maricopa County in the Office of Management and Budget, where she held various positions, including Deputy Director. During the Great Recession, Lee Ann developed a comprehensive budget reduction process that balanced the budget while preserving essential services. More recently, Lee Ann oversaw the allocation of over $1 billion in pandemic-related federal stimulus funds to support critical community needs, including homelessness services, affordable housing, workforce development programs, and community-based health needs. Lee Ann has also held leadership positions in several different County agencies where she oversaw various areas, including finance, human resources, procurement, and information technology.
Lee Ann has achieved measurable, positive, and meaningful change throughout her career. Known as an engaged and communicative leader who creates a strong sense of team among her direct reports, Lee Ann is also respected for her ability to collaborate with groups inside and outside of her organization and navigate challenging issues.
Lee Ann grew up in North St. Paul, Minnesota. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her Master of Arts in Public Policy from the State University of New York in Albany.
